FanDuel and DraftKings were very aggressive getting into New Jersey when PAPSA was repealed in 2018. They also already had millions of existing customers with their Fantasy Football app already installed. This fact has made it harder for competitors to get a serious foothold.
Even sports betting behemoths like William Hill were behind the 8-ball, so-to-speak, when it came to cracking the brand new market.
We don’t expect these numbers to change drastically in the next few years.
