Monday morning, the Rivers Casino in Des Plaines, Illinois will be the first location to take a legal sports bet since the activity was legalized and regulated 8 months ago. The location features a newly built sportsbook called BetRivers.
This opening will position the sportsbook perfectly for the start of march Madness basketball which began for some conferences earlier in the month. The action really heats up this week with the larger conference tourneys such as ACC and Big 12.
The NCAA tournament invitees will be announced after the conference tournaments finish on Sunday March 15.
