If you have been following the NBA offs-season you know there is a lot at play. The most discussed topic right now is ‘where will NBA Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard Play Next Season?‘
Kawhi recently declined the option to play another year on the current contract. This does not mean that he will not be a Raptor. In fact, according to sportsbook betting odds, he is most likely to resign with the Raptors, albeit for a longer, richer contract.
Several other teams are definitely on his radar. At minimum he wants to meet with some teams and see what they have to say. He is scheduled to meet with the Clippers on July 2nd.
The Lakers are making a lot of noise in the off-season, trying to get as many pieces as they can to make a serious run. They would love to have Leonard there. But many NBA analysts say that this wouldn’t be Leonard’s style; to go play second or third fiddle on a team already loaded with stars. He wants to be the star and he already proved he doesn’t need other superstars to get it done.
