The NBA had to put its season on hold because of the virus known as corona. Still, most of the season has been played and MVP voters got to see the top players perform for 60+ games.
The MVP odds are available at some sportsbooks right now and it’s down to two players: Lebron James and Giannis Antetokounpo.
You can bet the odds on either player but they aren’t even close. Giannis is the heavy favorite at -2000 (risk $2000 to win 100). James is +1100 (meaning $100 bet pays $1100).
Antetokounpo averaged 29.7 PPG and nabbed an average of 13.7 rebounds per contest. Lebron averaged 25. 7 PPG and 7.9 boards per game. But he also has a 10.6 assist per game.
Since risking 2000 dollars to win just 100 is something I would never do personally, I cannot recommend that bet to our readers either. If you absolutely must bet the MVP then take Lebron +1100. The exponential payout actually has a good chance of paying off.
The season is set to restart in July. The league wil resume with 22 teams playing 8 games then the playoffs. They are scheduled to play on Disney property in Orlando and to enforce strict protocols to prevent the spread of the virus.
