The PGA Championship brought some real excitement to the weekend. Not just for the players associated with the seesaw battle at the links, but for sports bettors who risked large sums of money on the tournament.
People were betting on the usual favorites. Koepka and Thomas received most of the pre-tourney action. Between the two of them, they accounted for 25% of the total handle.
Coming into the final day of wagering, one bettor doubled down on his instinct that Dustin Johnson would secure the win. He bet a DraftKings record $350K on Johnson at +275 odds.
It was not to be for that bettor however, as Collin Morikawa was able to secure the victory finishing 13 under. One bettor was able to win a three-quarter of a million dollar bet!
One bettor placed a massive $75,000 bet on Collin Morikawa to win the PGA Championship.
